Engagement Session
Piney Z Lake
We are back once again, and love is in the air! This time, Shebee is catching the sunrise with Latrina and Berchell as they celebrate their love for one another. Both were super excited to take these photos and announce their engagement, and Shebee was excited to deliver! Ausbee and I grabbed our equipment (and layered our clothing!) and headed out to the lake to capture the love between these two.
We started off out on a finger of the water, the warm sun just rising above the skyline. Latrina and Berchell were all smiles as we set up our lighting and took a few test shots. The wind was unexpectedly high that morning, so I worked (HARD.) to keep our lights out the water as Ausbee snapped gorgeous shot after gorgeous shot of the two lovebirds enjoying the crisp weather and the beautiful scenery. It was definitely still chilly outside, as the sun was not quite up on this winter morning, but Berchell and Latrina kept their photos looking nice and hot! 😁
Luckily, we didn’t have to get these two to warm up to the camera as the day warmed around us in the rising sun. The cream and denim outfit choice looked so great against the golden glow and the bright greenery, and the glow of excitement from these two new fiancés was just the perfect accent. Berchell turned out to be quite the jokester, and kept us all more than amused with his good-natured pranks. Latrina and I discussed our shared excitement for crafting (YAY!) and her anticipation of being a new small business owner. Latrina was ultra crafty and was now starting a t-shirts, crafts, and personalized gifts business. I was so excited to talk crafting, Ausbee had to remind me to hold the lights steady! Oh boy!🤦🏾♀️ Next, we kept the good times rolling moving down for a few shots right near the edge of the water.
Latrina and Berchell got all lovey-dovey in the golden light, and Ausbee and I snapped some absolute gold. It was easy to see that Berchell and Latrina really cared for each other, and the two of them just caught up in each other was a touching sight to witness. I always love the moments when a couple forgets that Ausbee and I are there and get wrapped up in the moment, that’s when we get those really heart-warming shots. Those are the ones I’m always the most excited to show our clients!
On to the next spot!
We moved inland, nearer to the trails, and Latrina grabbed one of her crafts she’d made to use as a cute little prop. The trees and sun looked really great in the background, and Berchell and Latrina were delivering gem after gem. Berchell gave us all a good laugh with his antics while the two were posing, and Ausbee and I could tell this love affair was definitely one that was filled with laughter. Nature always adds so much natural beauty to any photo, and this bright morning on Piney Z’s trails was no different. Ausbee again got so many great shots, I was already dreading the editing because it was going to be SO hard to choose!
Next up, we were in for an outfit change, and Latrina and Berchell came out in the cutest t-shirts that Latrina had made herself! The couple did their thing again, looking oh so adorable gazing into each other’s eyes. This time, we got some shots of Latrina & Berchell having a great time with each other, dancing a cute little two-step. We wrapped the session with some final shots of Latrina’s ROCK💍 and had a good final laugh before departing. Ausbee and i got ready to get to work on the editing, and later dazzle this lovely couple with their beautiful shots!
It’s always so great to see people at the height of a whirlwind love story, and capturing each unique story is such a privilege. Berchell and Latrina were absolutely delightful to work with, and we’re so excited to see their big day! Until next time! 👋🏾
