Engagement Session
Maclay Gardens, Tallahassee, FL
This is Austin and Gabby. They are MADLY in love, and they’re getting married! The two of them have decided to tie the knot here in sunny Tallahassee before starting their life together in the cold winter nights of Colorado🥶❄. Gabby couldn’t refuse Austin’s rugged northern charm and fell head over heels for him! The two of them would like to capture their special brand of love for each other in some engagement announcement photos. Ausbee and I LOOVE love, and can’t wait to get started shooting this beautiful couple. Let’s go make some magic!
We met Austin and Gabby over at beautiful Maclay Gardens, set up our equipment, and got to shooting! Gabby was so cute and sweet, and Austin seemed the perfect gentleman as we started off with a few warmup shots to get the two used to the camera. We walked along the lovely brick path of the gardens chatting it up with the two about their plans for the wedding and their upcoming big move to the north. I joked with them about my “warm weather nature” and inquired how they planned to make it in weather that regularly went below 60 degrees? 😄 The two of them looked really cute chatting with us and each other, and Ausbee and I got a few cute shots before we headed out to a nice patch of grass for a few action shots. We got out into the gorgeous green grass right next to the lake, and I suggesting Austin scoop Gabby up fireman style. We all got a great laugh as Austin did just that, much to Gabby’s surprise. The two of them had a great time gazing into each other’s eyes, and I grabbed the camera from Ausbee and snapped away!
Austin and Gabby continued with the adorable shots as the ran over to a lovely tree with low-hanging branches and Austin plopped Gabby right up in the tree. This time Ausbee grabbed the camera and snapped away, getting some adorable snaps.
The love between these two was undeniable as the looked into each other’s eyes, and Ausbee and I were beyond excited with the shots we’d gotten so far. Next up, we headed over to the “secret garden” for some more gems!
Austin and Gabby got all snuggly within the confines of the secret garden and Ausbee and I snapped every adorable moment! Gabby and I talked about her upcoming nuptials and her excitement to see her family in town for the small ceremony. Ausbee posed the two lovebirds in each other’s arms, and snapped a few photos before I jumped in and got some closeups of Gabby with her arms around Austin. They were more than adorable as they got lost in each other for a few moments, and we were glad to snap each and every one of them!
Next up, was the reflecting pool, and Austin and Gabby’s cuteness did not falter!
Austin gave us a little taste of the romantic proposal he’d sprung here in the gardens, and I was positively bursting with how adorable these photos were going to be! Gabby and Austin continued canoodling and gazing into each other’s eyes, then wowed us with some great shots showing us their practiced dancing skills. Ausbee was the main man with the camera here, and I mostly worked with posing the lovely couple. The shots just continued looking better and better, and I just couldn’t wait to get started editing! We wrapped here and headed back for an outfit change and the last few shots of the session.
Gabby and Austin changed into some cute and casual blue and denim combos and got ready to pose for a few more pics Austin and Gabby style! They were massively entertaining as they pranced through the grass, swung around in circles, and raced to the side-by-side fountains for a drink; forcing Austin to refresh himself at the tiniest of the two. The love shared between the two was both obvious and warm, and Ausbee and I couldn’t help but get caught up in the giddiness of the new love affair. We said our final goodbyes beneath the small gazebo just outside the gardens, and Ausbee and I wished them both great luck at their wedding the next day! We had such a blast with the two of them, and can’t wait to give them an awesome wedding gift. 😊🤗👰🏼🤵🏼💍
